Why you should visit Sint Maarten

About 200 miles east of Puerto Rico and south of Anguilla is the small island of St. Martin in the eastern Caribbean region, note that Sint Maarten is a signatory to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The history of this Caribbean Island known as Sint Maarten all started from Christopher Columbus who claimed the island for Spain as a result of his second trip to America. He derived the name because he landed on Martin's Day the saint in front is an honor for Saint. The result actually led to the division of the island, and although the two parts are similar, each half of the island has its own culture and heritage.
