Martinique also known as the Lesser Antilles is a beautiful island in the southern Caribbean. Before taking a vacation to any island some of the things to consider is the Beaches, and so if you consider Martinique for your vacation destination there are lots of beautiful beaches available to explore. The islands offer high-contrast coasts, extensive tourist beaches and small bays. That means there is something for everyone here. There are gleaming white sand in the north and black and silver beaches in the south.
This island offers a warm climate all year round, which means that no restriction date or month you can travel all year long. Annually from June to November is rainy season, but this occurs only in few places. This means that tourists can go snorkeling, surfing and sunbathing almost every month of the year. The island of Martinique belongs to France, because of this you will find a French touch that you have not experienced on other Caribbean islands.
Note that French citizens are more of relaxed people, due to this fact you will not find much of beach chairs or people selling things on the beach compared to other islands. What you'll find is pure water, fine sand and beautiful coral reefs waiting to be explored.
Grande Anse des Salines at Sainte Anne. This beach is a perfect picture of Martinique with its crystal clear waters and fine golden sand. Grande Anse is a great beach for water sports, sunbathing and also offers the best dishes and drinks of Martinique. This beach is not only beautiful, no matter what time of day, but also home to some great restaurants.

At the corner of Anse Dufour you will find Anse Noire which is located in a small bay surrounded by thick trees around the shore. This beach is also known as the black sand beach and also a perfect place if you are looking for privacy because most people do not visit. The beach is accessible through a flight of stairs and it features a clear, gentle blue water which is perfect spot for diving and snorkeling.
Note: There is a staircase that has to be lowered to get to this beach. It is not recommended for people with reduced mobility as you will have to go back fairly steeply. Above the beach there are picnic tables overlooking the sea.

The famous white sand beach is home to the famous Diamond Rocks near Le Diamant in southern Martinique. Diamond Beach offers one of the most beautiful views of Diamond Rock, a volcanic formation located about 500 feet high in the water off the island's coastline that stretches about 4 km and it is popular with runners due to the length stretch.
This beach is ideal for those who love the sand and the sea, but do not want to sunbathe. Under the trees you will find many shady places to escape the harshest summer sun. This white sandy beach is as peaceful and beautiful as its more touristy relatives. Visitors can also swim in the cool seawater to recharge their batteries.
Note: The Diamond Beach can sometimes be rough. But you can relax, take a nap, have a picnic, organize a game and admire the beauty of the beach and also enjoy the fine sand and incredible views

The first starting point is one of the most accessible options for tourists. Les Salines is a great option as it offers this stereotypical vision of paradise. It is a wide expanse of white sand, coconut palms and blue sea. It is quite touristy, without too many people at the same time. There are also many souvenir stalls and beverage vendors.
The beach of Salines features a golden sand of 1200 meters and its perfect semicircle shape that looks like a postcard is located about four kilometers south of Sainte-Anne. It is certainly one of the most famous sights of Martinique and one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The beach also features some magical natural views like coconut palms, fine sand and turquoise waters.
This place takes its name from the famous salt pond behind the beach and consists of two streams, one large and one small, separated by the foothills of Pie. The entire area is surrounded by a very pleasant coconut grove, which provides the holidaymakers with a bit too strong sun shade. Visitors will also enjoy the beauty of a wild and untouched nature.
However note that Les Salines beach is always quite on weekdays, but the Big Cove of Salines is very crowded at the weekend. Statistics also shows that the beach receives about two million visitors a year. In fact, many people come to relax and have a picnic in this enchanting place. While there is less rest at these times, you can enjoy a festive atmosphere, cool off and enjoy a delicious coconut or guava sorbet!
